# Dashboard

> What you see after logging in: active assignments, upcoming deadlines, and recent activity

# Dashboard

After you log in and select a course, you land on the course dashboard. It summarizes everything you currently need to act on.

## Assignments

The assignments section lists every active assignment in the course with:

* Assignment name and due date
* Your current score (once graded and released)
* Submission status
* Links to your GitHub repository and your latest submission

Once an assignment has been graded and released, your **total score** appears directly on the dashboard so you can track progress across all assignments at a glance.

## Surveys to Complete

If you have pending or in-progress surveys, a "Surveys to complete" banner appears on your dashboard. Each entry shows:

* **Status badge**: Completed (green), Overdue (red), or Pending (yellow)
* **Due date**: Relative time remaining, or how long ago it became overdue
* **Quick action**: A "Take Survey" link, or "View Response" once submitted

Overdue surveys are listed first.

## Active Help Requests

If you have an open office hours request, its status appears on the dashboard and follows you around the site. See [Office Hours](/students/office-hours) for the full request flow.
