Assignment Leaderboard

If your instructor has enabled the leaderboard for an assignment, a 🏆 Leaderboard panel appears in the right-hand sidebar of the assignment page. Assignments without it show no panel, and neither does an assignment where nothing has been autograded yet.

What you see

The panel is headed Top N by autograder score and has three columns: Rank, Student, and Score. It lists at most ten entries. The first three ranks are shown as 🥇 🥈 🥉 rather than numbers, and each score is written as the autograder score over its maximum. Your own row is highlighted and badged You. If you rank outside the top ten, your rank appears under Your ranking: below the table instead.

How the ranking works

Entries are ranked by the autograder score of your active submission, highest first. Only your active submission counts, so switching which submission is active changes your entry. There is no tie-break. If several students have the same score, the order they appear in is arbitrary and can change. On a group assignment, every member of the group gets their own entry, all carrying the group’s score. There is no single entry for the group. Entries update as soon as the autograder finishes a run.

What others see about you

Entries always use pseudonyms, never real names. Everyone in the class, including you, sees the same pseudonymous list.
